Offshore Fishing

Please take few minutes to read important information about our Offshore fishing charter offerring in the Gulf of Papagayo, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. You can learn what we fish for and view a list of boats that can be booked online to secure your Costa Rica fishing trip.

Primarily, offshore fishing (or deep sea fishing) is defined as any type of fishing done more than 9 miles from the shore line. When you’re deep sea fishing, you’re usually pretty far from land…roughly 20-30 miles out, in waters that are hundreds or even thousands of feet deep. Hence the name “deep sea fishing.” Offshore fishing charters have longer distances and travel duration more than an hour.  Larger boats and sometimes larger fish, heavy-duty equipment and large heavy bait.
